Eligibility for Returns and Repairs

To be eligible for a return or repair, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, untampered, and in its original packaging.

A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Ported Saws (Final Sale)

Ported and performance-modified saws are built for specific performance applications and are considered final sale.

These saws are not eligible for return due to buyer’s remorse and are only covered for:

  • Damage caused during shipping

  • Verified issues related to our craftsmanship

We do not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper carburetor tuning, or neglect.

Used Saws

Used saws are not returnable under any circumstances.

Remorse Returns (Change of Mind)

Returns initiated due to buyer’s remorse or change of mind are accepted under the following conditions:

  • 20% restocking fee will be applied

  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Items must be returned in original, unused, and untampered condition to qualify.

Warranty Information

All saws carry the following warranties:

  • Consumer Warranty: 1 year from the date of purchase

  • Commercial Warranty: 6 months from the date of purchase

Warranty applies only to defects in materials or workmanship.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse or operator error

  • Improper carburetor tuning or failure to retune for elevation/conditions

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage after delivery due to neglect or improper use

Local Warranty Repairs

Items may be dropped off free of charge at the location specified on the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Shipped Warranty Repairs

Customers are responsible for shipping items back for warranty evaluation. Once received, each saw is carefully inspected, and you will be updated on the findings, including whether the issue falls within warranty coverage, along with next steps and repair timing.

Our warranty covers true defects in materials and craftsmanship. It does not extend to damage caused by misuse, improper handling, or neglect. Normal wear is expected over time and is not considered a defect.

How to Initiate a Return or Warranty Claim

To start a return or warranty claim, contact us at support@forgeandfeller.com. Once your request is accepted, we will:

  • Provide return instructions and an RMA

  • Provide a return shipping label (if applicable)

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately (within 7 days of delivery) if:

  • The item is defective or damaged

  • You received the wrong item

These situations are handled under warranty, not as standard returns. We will evaluate the issue promptly and work with you to make it right.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of approval or denial.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days

  • Applicable fees (restocking, shipping) will be deducted

If denied:

  • A detailed explanation will be provided

Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Used saws

  • Bar & Chain Combos - New Or Used. All sales are final.

  • Ported or modified saws (except for verified defects)

  • Items not in original condition or missing components

  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper carburetor tuning, or neglect
